2024 Safety Involvement Program Updates
The 2024 Safety Involvement Program has a few mid-year updates.
The Platinum level Yeti cooler option now includes a Yeti 65, 32 Wheeled, or M30 Tote Soft cooler, instead of the Yeti 45. This change aligns better with the value of the other items in this category.
Employees still have the option to “upgrade” their year-end safety awards by selecting the same item of a different size from the same brand. Any amount exceeding the value of the award, along with any additional taxes, is to be covered by the employees.
NEW: If employees meet the Platinum level, they also have the option to “downgrade” their year-end safety award by selecting ONE like item of a smaller size or lesser value from the same brand. The remaining earned value must be used on incentives listed in the program based on the table below.
Here are a few examples of what an “upgrade” or “downgrade” may look like.
The intent of providing safety incentives relating to disaster preparedness is to prioritize the safety and well-being of individuals. We want to emphasize that these incentives are not intended for resale or profit. When these incentives are used for personal preparedness, they contribute to the overall resilience of our community and help ensure that essential resources are available when needed most.
It is essential to communicate this purpose clearly to avoid any misconceptions within the community that may jeopardize the future of the safety involvement program.
The updated Safety Program is now on the Safety page.
