Working on Wellness: Mental Health Awareness Month
Week 1: Understanding Mental Health
Mental health is just as vital as physical health—it shapes how we think, feel, and act each day. It influences how we manage stress, connect with others, and make decisions. When our mental health is strong, we're better equipped to meet life’s demands and find purpose and fulfillment.
On the other hand, poor mental health can affect our physical well-being, our self-esteem, and how we engage with the world around us. Yet, many people still hesitate to talk about it, often because of lingering stigma. That’s why it’s so important to normalize mental health conversations—so individuals feel supported and encouraged to seek help when they need it.
