Working on Wellness: Mental Health Awareness Month Week 2
Week 2: Caring for Your Whole Self
Taking care of your mental health is an ongoing practice, not something you only focus on when things feel overwhelming. Coping strategies are the small, intentional actions that help you manage stress, regulate emotions, and stay grounded through life’s ups and downs.
There’s no one-size-fits-all approach. What works for one person may not work for another, and that’s okay. The key is building a toolkit of strategies you can turn to when you need support.
Simple ways to care for your mental well-being:
• Physical Self-Care: Prioritize Sleep, Move your Body, Nutritious Eating, Digital Detox
• Mental & Emotional Self-Care: Mindfulness & Meditation, Journaling, Practicing Gratitude, Engage in Hobbies.
• Social & Environmental Self-Care: Connect with Others, Set Boundaries, Spend Time with Nature
• Overall Well-Being: Take a Mental Health Day, Seek Professional Support, Self-Compassion
Caring for your mental health doesn’t have to be complicated, small, consistent steps can make a meaningful difference.
