Local Organizations in Need of Donations
Are you interested in making a positive impact this holiday season? We've been contacted by a few local organizations, and your support can make a significant difference.
The Shelton Youth Connection, located in downtown Shelton, is dedicated to assisting homeless and at-risk youth aged 12-24 through personalized support, housing solutions, and comprehensive resources. While they always welcome donations, they are currently facing an urgent need for new and gently used coats and hoodies. Your contributions can be dropped off with Jenny Goos at the Johns Prairie Operations Center or downtown at 123 S 2nd Street in Shelton.
Another organization in need is Evergreen Elementary PTSO. Evergreen is a neighborhood school offering dual language strands and monolingual strands at each grade level. Many students are struggling to have their basic needs met. The types of donations requested include:
Monetary donations to Evergreen Elementary School PTSO
Kid-size jackets, shoes, socks, leggings, or sweaters
Gift cards from Safeway, Fred Meyer, or Walmart
Hygiene products (toothbrushes, deodorant, toothpaste)
Healthy kids’ food snacks
Donations for Evergreen can be dropped at their location: 900 W. Franklin St., Shelton.
Your donation can play a crucial role in breaking down learning barriers for children and families in need. With the support of the community, students can concentrate on their education and thrive. Consider making a difference today.
