Fun at the First Fireside Chat with Annette

Thanks to everyone who participated in the first “Fireside Chat with Annette” we hope you enjoyed it! Annette kicked off the meeting with November’s theme of “what are you thankful for?” in the spirit of the holiday and each participant shared something they are thankful for. Then, she talked about why she chose the cheesy theme complete with a desktop s’more kits. Everyone checked their s’more box for the winning sticker and found the Dawn Myers had the random hidden sticker on her box. Employees were invited to roast their marshmallows at their desk while among other topics, Annette spent a few minutes talking about the 2022 budget and rate increases recently passed by the commission and gave a brief explanation of the PUD’s rate structure philosophy, specifically explaining increases in the fixed daily system charge. After that, employees asked several questions which prompted discussions. Finally, Annette asked employees to add the name of a co-worker they were most thankful to work with in the chat box and HR would draw from those who commented and those who were nominated for a chance to win a gift card. Congrats to Lori C. and Salem, they were the winners of the drawing. A bonus winner from employees not in attendance was Brianne. Her name was submitted by Laura as the coworker she is grateful for.
