Annette Elected to PPC Board

Annette was elected to serve as the Public Power Council’s (PPC) Vice-Chair, Administration and budget in January of 2019.

The Public Power Council is a not for profit association that represents about 100 consumer-owned electric utilities in the Pacific Northwest on issues regarding the Federal Columbia River Power System. Having a leadership role in this organization is great for PUD ratepayers since important regional energy and utility issues are discussed and consensus achieved, ensuring their interests are represented.

This is a way for us to influence the reliable and economical service areas of our mission since many of the issues are related to the Bonneville Power Administration’s power contracts and transmission as well as various legislative issues that can impact the PUD’s budget and reliability.

“Always providing safe, reliable, and economical service, 24/7.”
