May is Mental Health Awareness Month!
Today, nearly one in five U.S. adults live with a mental illness.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness of those living with mental illness and to help reduce the stigma associated with them.
Every year is a critical year to pay attention to mental health, and this year is no exception. The pandemic and dramatic changes within the workforce have fueled already rising numbers of depression and anxiety along with a host of other mental health issues. The rate of mental health disturbances among adults has increased fourfold since 2019. It is vital that all of us continue to talk about the importance of mental health and increase the availability of support.
