PUD 3 Commissioners Approve 2021 Budget and Rate Increases

PUD 3 Commissioners approved the 2021 budget and adjustments to the customer rates effective January 1, 2021. The detailed rate schedule will be posted to the intranet and website closer to the first of the year, but the basics are below. Additionally, commissioners approved an increase to the pole attachment rates from $22/attachment to $27/attachment. The attachers are being notified by mail and that increase will be effective with the July 2021 billings.

RATE INCREASE DETAILS:

The residential rate increase includes:

·         A three percent (3%) increase in residential kWh rates; and

·         A $0.15 increase in the daily system charge.

The large commercial and industrial rate increase includes:

·         A $0.15 increase in the daily system charge; and

·         A $1.50 increase in the demand rate.
