PUD 3 Uses Cleanest Energy in the Country!

PUD 3 issued a news release yesterday on its website (here) touting a recent paper published by National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) which studied emissions from US electricity providers and found that the Bonneville Power Administration’s (BPA) hydro system is producing and using the cleanest energy in the nation compared to the 20 largest electric regions! Even without the scientific study - PUD 3 knew that its energy portfolio was 98% carbon free. We are pretty lucky to live in an area with such clean, reliable, abundant, and renewable hydropower from the dams from the Columbia River System.
