Retirement Announcement & Movement

Join us in congratulating Mike Speaks, who has announced his retirement effective January 31, 2028 at which time he will have more than 33 years of service with Mason PUD 3!

In planning for Mike’s upcoming retirement and the operational needs his departure will create, the District determined that a dual Superintendent role overseeing the Tree Crews while also providing oversight and direction to the Broadband Shops will best support those needs moving forward.

As part of this transition, Troy Cyganowski has accepted the position of Operations Superintendent – Tree/Broadband and will begin his new role on September 16th.

Please join us in congratulating Mike on his upcoming retirement and thanking him for his many years of service, and in congratulating Troy and wishing him success in his new role!
