Retirement Announcement and Employee Movement
Please join me in congratulating Nancy Bolender who has announced her retirement effective July 31, 2020. Nancy has worked for PUD 3 for over 37 years. She has held many integral roles with the District and has been a part of many historical decisions and transitions. Her first job with the PUD was as a cashier/clerk in 1982. She held many positions over the years and worked in and/or oversaw several departments such as: customer service, conservation, power supply, administration, facilities, records, and purchasing… just to name a few. She spent a large portion of her career working in the Administration department, where she worked under three different managers, and served as clerk to the board of commissioners. In 2013 she was promoted to Contracts and Purchasing Manager where she has spent the final years of her career with the PUD. Nancy is known as the District’s historian and grammarian. Her institutional knowledge and expertise will leave a large void for the utility but thanks to her excellent skill of documentation, the utility has a wonderful record of the historical events that shaped her career. Nancy also was a key participant in the publishing of the PUD 3’s history book! We wish her all the best in her retirement and hope she enjoys time with John and the grandkids – maybe squeeze in a boat ride or two.
As a result of Nancy’s retirement, Jennifer Renecker has accepted the position of Purchasing Manager. She will begin training with Nancy as early as April 16th and Tina Ward has been promoted to the position of Buyer within the purchasing department.
Alexis (Lexie) Hunter will resume her role with customer service as the Customer Service Supervisor and is tentatively planning to continue to be based out of the downtown payment center post COVID-19.
Congratulations to each of you!
p.s. -We won’t be considering backfilling the positions in customer service until after the COVID-19 pandemic is over and re-entry plans are complete.
