Retirement Announcement - Congratulations Katie!

With over 30 years of service, Katie Gilman is wrapping up a valued and dedicated career at PUD 3. Please join us in celebrating her retirement and wishing her happiness in the years ahead.

Katie joined the PUD 3 team in 1995 as a Cashier in the Customer Service Department. Over the years, she held various CSR positions, building key skills before being promoted to Belfair Office Supervisor, a role she held until 2016. In that position, Katie was known for her kindness and compassion, always caring deeply for her team and the people she served. Her thoughtful leadership left a lasting impact on those around her. She concluded her customer service career in 2019 as the Customer Service Office Coordinator, continuing to bring experience, reliability, and a strong presence to the department.

In 2019, Katie brought her experience, steady leadership, and deep knowledge to the Engineering Department as Lead Engineering Services Assistant. She led by example, supporting her team, and helped lay the groundwork for continued success upon her retirement. Katie’s leadership was instrumental in fostering a positive team environment, embodying one of our core values of employee connection. She earned the respect of her coworkers and supervisors, and her support was especially impactful during times of change. Always ready with encouragement and kind words, Katie helped others thrive. Her steady presence, generous spirit, and genuine care for her colleagues made a lasting difference.

Katie’s warm smile and friendly presence have left a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of working with her. Thank you for three decades of dedicated service to the District. While we’ll truly miss you, we wish you all the health, happiness, and fulfillment this next chapter brings!

Katie’s last day is Thursday, July 31st. Feel free to stop in the main kitchen at JP at 9:00 a.m. to wish her well and eat some cake.
