Retirement Announcement - Congratulations Steph!

Please join us in extending our heartfelt congratulations to Steph Beacraft as she prepares for her much-anticipated retirement after an impressive 30+ years of service at PUD 3.

Steph is concluding an impressive career of over 30 years with PUD 3 on September 30, 2024. Her journey began in March 1993 as a clerk/typist. Over the next eight years, she held various customer service roles before being promoted as an Assistant to the Conservation and Power Supply departments in 2001. A year later, Steph advanced to the Engineering department as an Administrative Assistant, where she has spent the last 22 years contributing her expertise and steady support.

Known for her warm, friendly demeanor and her uncanny luck at winning raffles during PUD events, Steph has made a lasting impact. Like fellow retiree, Kim Albaugh, she has successfully navigated three major conversions during her time here. Steph has worked her fair share of outages in the outage center over the years, and her presence during those critical moments has been invaluable.

Steph’s familiar voice on the radio will be missed as she always seems to understand exactly what the crews were discussing and how to respond. We have been incredibly fortunate to benefit from her dedication, knowledge, and unwavering commitment throughout the past three decades.

Steph will be spending her last day celebrating with coworkers nearby, so feel free to stop by and wish her well.
