Retirement Announcement - Congratulations Terri!

Please Join us in wishing a heartfelt farewell and warm congratulations to Terri Oberg on a well-earned retirement after an impressive 32+ year career with PUD 3.

Terri began her journey with PUD 3 in 1992 as a Clerk/Typist and was soon promoted to Administrative Aid in Conservation. She demonstrated her dedication and adaptability during a short job change to CSR/Meter Reader before her next promotion to the Accounting Department in 1995. Terri built a solid foundation and demonstrated significant growth during her 12 years in the Accounting Department, progressing to an Accountant position with increasing responsibilities. In 2007, she transitioned to the Telecom Department, where she embraced a new chapter and truly thrived over the last 17 years, making lasting contributions throughout the remainder of her career.

Described as the cornerstone and the glue that has held the Telecom Department together for close to 20 years, Terri remained a steady, dedicated presence through multiple leaders and evolving visions for the network. She played a key role in implementing NISC in Telecom by setting up service orders and data management processes, which became essential to the department’s operations. Her pioneering efforts in tracking, billing, and contract management, along with her initiative and attention to detail, have been critical to the department’s growth through all of these years. Terri’s work has positively impacted thousands of Mason County families by helping them access world-class broadband. Her commitment to collaboration with IS and Operations, accuracy in documentation, problem solving skills and outstanding customer service have been vital to Telecom’s success.

Terri (and her creative Halloween costumes) will be deeply missed! Thank you for your unwavering dedication to the District over the last three decades. Your commitment to excellence, collaborative spirit, and ability to navigate change have left a lasting impact that will continue to benefit PUD 3 and its customers for years to come.

Terri’s last day is January 16th.  Join us tomorrow at 1:00 in the main kitchen at JP for an ice cream celebration and a chance to wish Terri well in her next adventure!
