VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - Blind Disc Golf Challenge at PUD on Saturday, September 5.

A gold-medalist Mason County resident coordinated a special disc golf event for several regional low vision (“blind”) athletes.

WHEN: Saturday, September 5 - 8:30AM (event scheduled to last three or four hours).

WHERE: Johns Prairie PUD Disc Golf Course

WHAT: Looking for four additional “sighted guides” to assist the low vision players. Disc golf experience is not necessary! Volunteers are needed to offer a steady arm and kind words. It will consist of walking around the disc golf course with your player, helping to bring them to their disc, and ensuring they are walking on a safe path.
