WPUDA Educational Scholarship - Updated Eligibility

NEW! The WPUDA Educational Scholarship has expanded its eligibility criteria. In addition to parents or guardians of a high school student, applicants may now also qualify if they have an immediate core family member (e.g., sibling) employed by a PUD. High school students who are currently employed by a member PUD and planning to enroll this fall are also eligible to apply.

The WPUDA Educational Scholarship was established in 2019 to recognize a dependent of a Public Utility District employee and member of WPUDA. Each year, the Association seeks to award a S1,500.00 scholarship to a well rounded student who demonstrates scholastic ability, community involvement, and thoughtful consideration of the services provided by PUDs.

Important Things to Know:

  • Submit your qualifying student by February 26 using the form below

  • One student will be chosen at random

  • If you student is chosen, he/she will be required to complete the application submission portion of the WPUDA guidelines (linked above) including a personal statement and essay.
