We are proud to share that Mason PUD 3 has been recognized nationally for excellence in core areas that define how we serve our community, with safety as our guiding value.

We once again earned the American Public Power Association’s Reliable Public Power Provider (RP3) designation at the diamond level — achieving a perfect score and continuing more than a decade of recognition. The RP3 application process is comprehensive and rigorous, requiring detailed demonstration of strong performance in reliability, safety, workforce development, and system improvement, supported by sound business practices and a utility-wide commitment to safe, reliable service.

We also received APPA’s 2025 Safety Award of Excellence at the diamond level, reflecting our safety-first culture and focus on protecting employees and the public. In addition, our 2024 Annual Report earned the Government Finance Officers Association Certificate of Achievement for the 21st consecutive year, recognizing excellence in transparency and financial reporting.

These awards highlight how our work aligns with industry benchmarks and best practices and reflect a level of national recognition achieved by only a small percentage of public power utilities.
