Special Coffee Chat to Welcome New Employees

With so many new employees joining the PUD throughout the pandemic, Annette thought it would be important to have a special coffee chat to give employees the chance to get to know her, the utility, and each other a little better. The leadership team was introduced to the group on Monday, April 26 over coffee before the HR team gave an overview of the various ways they can help new employees navigate benefits, payroll, and take advantage of the incentive program. Annette went over the commission structure and pointed out who our three commissioners are as well as touched on some of the major initiatives the PUD involved in, such as: negotiating a new power contract, navigating telecom grants and possible new retail authority, and administering federal funding to help our customers affected by COVID. To make it a little more fun, prizes were drawn throughout the meeting and the winning participants were: Dave Evans, Brian Phipps, and Wendy Malsed - Congratulations you three and welcome aboard to all our new employees!
